South Hampton Community Hospital offers the latest in the diagnosis, medical management and surgical treatment of disorders of the colon, rectum and anus. Our colorectal surgeons perform hundreds of operations each year using state-of-the-art technology and have expertise in:

• Colorectal and anal tumors, including hereditary tumor syndromes such as familial polyposis and non-polyposis colon cancers.  New surgery techniques for rectal cancers may preserve the anal sphincters and prevent the need for colostomy.
• Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis) including ileo-anal pouch (also called J- or S- pouch) procedures.
